FIRST TIME ON AN AIRPLANE!

On Friday night, I got home late from VBS (Vacation Bible School for cute little kids) at my church. It took me such a long time to start packing! I didn't sleep and left for the airport at 4 am with my Dad. We got there, walked around frantically, "checked-in" our luggage, "got" our boarding passes, and took a "trolly/bus/subway-type-thing" to our gate. The "quotation marks" show my lack of knowledge of airport word-age.
We got to our gate 2 hours early! Then we finally sat down, the sun came up, and a chocolate bar, Rolling Stone Magazine, and piece of gum, later, I starting boarding my first plane!

This first picture is the view from my window before we "took off". I got really nervous when we started going higher and higher because I'm afraid of heights, but pretty soon, we were so unbelievably high that I couldn't believe it. I felt like there was no way we were that high off the ground.

When we got high enough to where we were above the clouds, I looked out and back behind the plane, and was in complete awe of what I saw! I'd never seen the top side of clouds like that! If it weren't for my seat belt, I might've floated out of my chair. It was my favorite part of the flight. Actually, it's tied with another part...

One of the flight attendants, Ashley, was talking to us and asking us questions, and my Dad told her that it was my first time flying. The word spread and later another flight attendant came with a "first-time kid gift set" for me!! It came with a pair of plastic wings, pencil, luggage name tag, deck of cards (all sporting Southwest Airlines logos), and... the best part... a certificate that all of the flight attendants signed! Then we found out Ashley had just finished her training, and it was her first official flight as an actual flight attendant, and we took a picture with her!
Hahahahah. It was so funny. My Dad and I were laughing for days. I'm totally keeping the certificate forever!
[I apologize for the blurry picture.]

Our trip, to Reno, went really well, thank God. When we got there, we went almost straight to the park where my Dad would be singing. We were there all day, and we were so sleepy and hot. But in the middle of the day, C.J. and Sarah (Calvo) came to see my Dad!! It was so cool to see them in Reno now that they've moved from Las Vegas.
The whole trip was great, and I made it back alive! Thank God! =D

More pictures from the trip can be seen at my Dad's website and at my Flickr page.
